New York directing credits include Spirit Control (Manhattan Theatre Club), Graceland (LCT3), Port Authority (Atlantic Theater Company), Elvis People (New World Stages), The Polish Play (Katharsis Theater Company), Pullman Car Hiawatha (Keen Company; Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Revival of a Play), So Frightful an Event is Single in the History of Man (McGinn/Cazale Theater), The Flying Doctor and The Imaginary Cuckold (Connelly Theater) and 'Tis Pity She's a Whore (Here).

Regional theater and other directing credits include Animal Crackers (The Goodman, Joseph Jefferson nomination), Talking Pictures (The Goodman), The Mystery of Irma Vep (the Old Globe), Art (Barrington Stage), The Seafarer and Speech & Debate (Hartford TheaterWorks), The Good Thief (Portland Stage), Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Maine Summer Dramatic Institute/Shakespeare in Deering Oaks Park). Henry has served as the assistant director of the Broadway productions of August: Osage County and Shining City.

He was the Artistic Director of the Maine Summer Dramatic Institute in Portland, Maine from 1997-1999. While there, he founded Shakespeare in Deering Oaks Park, a free Shakespeare festival in Portland's primary public park featuring students from MSDI's education program. He is a Drama League Directing Fellow and a graduate of Yale University.ť
